Interdisciplinary Masters Studentship Programme
The interdisciplinary Masters Programme enables high-flying research students to pursue a joint inter-disciplinary thesis project with more than one supervisor from different institutions.
Program Aim
The fellowship allows successful candidates to join research groups of their choice and covers their salaries and initial research expenses, giving them a soft-landing pad to jumpstart their careers in the world of research and development, either in academia or industry, in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Steps
Identify your problem space from the 8+3 areas
Identify a research group in KP – can be at a university, research institute or a startup.
Identify and meet an IRTC-approved supervisor
Identify at least 1 novel scientific problem, invention (prototype) or innovation (solution or product) that you will work on.
Prepare your application pack and apply in response to any of the Call for Applications for this programme.
Eligibility for the Student
The studentship allows successful candidates to join research groups of their choice, in the 8+3 areas identified under the KP Science Agenda. The candidates will be enrolled in and will obtain their degrees from the host institution of their primary supervisor, which can be any university of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Eligibility of the PI
The PI should have funds for the research component of the Masters studentship that is laid out in the research plan. Tuition fees and university costs will be the responsibility of the student.
Benefits
Each Studentship will include 12 months of stipend for the IRTC student at the rate of PKR 25,000 per month along with a research support of PKR 240,000 under the supervision of the PI, and a PI honorarium of PKR 60,000 after the graduation of the student.
