Applications for Patenting and Prototyping Support Program are open.
Please apply before the deadline of submission.
The Patents and Prototypes Support programme aims to facilitate the development, dissemination, protection, and transfer of technology, inventions, and creations developed by researchers in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The primary aim of the Patents and Prototypes Support (PPS) programme is to facilitate the development, dissemination, protection, and transfer of technology, inventions, and creations developed by researchers at R&D organisations, universities, startups and SMEs in KP. This will help in filling the gap between applied research and technology transfer to local industries by validating the technology.
The project will help scientists and researchers who have are very early stage and are unable to raise money for successful prototyping and commercialisation and are therefore trapped in the metaphorical ‘valley of death’. The project component aims to catapult and help some of those ideas succeed in rallying industrial grants and investment and ultimately commercialising their work.
The programme offers small grants of unto PKR 1.5million to researchers for patenting and/or developing and testing early-stage prototypes of ideas that have a demonstrated potential.
