The Directorate General of Science & Technology has been successful in conducting its first residential STEAM Summer Camp exclusively for the male and female students of secondary level from Newly Merged Districts in two phases.
The residential STEAM Summer Camps managed to engage a total of 400 young learners from Merged Districts in inter-disciplinary STEAM-related subjects (Space Sciences, Biotechnology, Robotics, Art & Design and Math Hacks) to connect their interests to future pursuits in STEAM related fields. The first Summer Camp of the series for male candidates took place between 1st -6th July at Kalam, Swat, whereas the second phase of STEAM Summer Camp for girls took place at Baragali Summer Camp, University of Peshawar, from 10th to 14th August. A total of 200 female candidates were trained in STEAM education.
The closing Ceremony was attended by the worthy Secretary ST&IT Department Mr. Matiullah Khan, from Directorate General of Science and Technology Mr. Sajid Hussain Shah, from academia Vice Chancellor FATA University Dr. Jehanzeb, Ex Vice Chancellor Shaheed Benzair Bhutto Women University Dr. Razia Sultana and other officials from government as well as academia.
